Recently, the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group issued the “Implementation Plan for the 2016 ‘Safety Production Month’ Campaign,” under which a comprehensive “Safety Production Month” campaign themed “Strengthening the Concept of Safe Development and Enhancing Public Safety Literacy” will be carried out throughout June.

This “Work Safety Month” campaign aims to further foster a strong awareness of safety red lines, strengthen the rule of law in safety, ensure the effective implementation of safety responsibilities, promote widespread dissemination of safety knowledge, and enhance the overall safety competence of all employees by organizing a series of innovative, diverse, employee-engaging, and highly effective work safety activities. The campaign will also vigorously advance the focused initiative on “comprehensive hazard identification, swift remediation, and stringent oversight” and the “Safe Road Transport Year” campaign, thereby ensuring the sustained stability of the Group’s safety performance.

All employees of the Group Company listened attentively to the briefing and took careful notes.

On June 4, Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group invited Officer Shi Mingfeng, Captain of the Traffic Order Squadron of the Jinghong City Traffic Police Brigade, to the company to deliver a public awareness session on road traffic safety themed “Life Is Priceless—No Driving After Drinking,” officially kicking off the group’s June Safety Production Month activities. Moving forward, Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group will also organize five additional safety education initiatives: first, actively participating in the “June 16” National Safety Production Publicity and Consultation Day event hosted by government regulatory authorities; second, inviting the transportation administration department to conduct a legal publicity campaign on the transport of dangerous goods and an educational session on accident prevention at the company’s liquefied gas storage and distribution station; third, carrying out in-depth inspections and rectification of safety hazards across all production departments, the liquefied gas filling workshop, cylinder storage facilities, and service station outlets; fourth, organizing an emergency response drill for sudden accidents; and fifth, rigorously implementing safety-driving education during the rainy season.

Zhang Yanhong, Secretary of the Party Branch and Deputy General Manager of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, put forward requirements for the implementation of the “Safety Production Month” campaign and for safety production work in the period ahead. She urged all departments, branch companies, and subsidiaries to center their efforts on the theme of “Strengthening the Concept of Safe Development and Enhancing the Safety Competence of All Employees,” earnestly reinforcing capacity-building in three key areas—“compliance with rules and regulations in operations, standardized operating procedures, and emergency response”—to drive improvements in three critical dimensions: “safety performance, overall employee competence, and on-site quality.” She emphasized the need to consistently adhere to the principles of “ensuring safety, strengthening management, prioritizing key areas, and thoroughly identifying and eliminating potential hazards,” so as to effectively prevent safety accidents at the source and provide a solid guarantee for the enterprise’s safe and sustainable development.
