Mengla Branch Anti-Robbery and Anti-Theft Drill
“Robbery!” a loud shout rang out, instantly startling the customer who had just entered the store to get some fresh air.
“What’s wrong? Robbery?”
“Sorry, we’re conducting an emergency response drill for robbery and theft prevention—sorry to have startled you!”
“Oh, so that’s how it is—you scared me half to death!”
In response to the spirit of the “Notice on Rapidly Conducting a Comprehensive Safety Production Inspection” issued by the Mengla County Public Security Bureau, the Work Safety Supervision Bureau, and Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, the Mengla Branch of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group recently organized and meticulously planned this emergency preparedness drill, with the aim of enhancing the branch’s capability to respond to and manage emergency incidents.
Composure and calmness were the highlights of this drill. Faced with the “robbers,” employees remained steadfast in following the procedures outlined in the Emergency Response Plan: they avoided eye contact, refrained from resistance, and prioritized self-protection while doing their utmost to safeguard company property. Ultimately, the aggressive “perpetrators” were subdued through the combined efforts of other employees. (Text and photos by Wu Jianlin)
