Since the onset of the summer flood season, frequent occurrences of extreme weather—including high temperatures and heavy rainfall—have heightened traffic safety risks for vehicles transporting “liquefied petroleum gas” and “Wild Elephant Spring drinking water” under the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group. To further enhance drivers’ knowledge of safe driving during the rainy and flood seasons and their ability to respond effectively to emergencies, on July 28, Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. convened a specialized training session in its second-floor conference room, bringing together more than 30 management personnel and full-time drivers.

This training session focused primarily on “Safety Driving Knowledge During the Flood Season,” “Prevention of Road Traffic Accidents in the Rainy Season,” and “Emergency Response Procedures for Driver-Related Incidents.” The meeting commenced with Zhang Yanhong, Deputy General Manager of the Group Company, conveying the spirit of two official documents: the Yunnan Provincial Road Transport Administration’s “Urgent Notice on Effectively Strengthening Safety Supervision of Dangerous Goods Transportation and Passenger Transport” (Document No. 138 of 2014 issued by the Yunnan Provincial Road Transport Safety Supervision Office), and the Jinghong Municipal Transportation Administration’s forwarding of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Transport’s “Notice Forwarding the Ministry of Transport’s Urgent Notification on Activating a Level-I Emergency Response to Defend Against Super Typhoon Rammasun” (Document No. 66 of 2014 issued by the Jinghong Municipal Transportation Administration). Following this, participants watched and analyzed two case study videos—one depicting a major traffic accident on the Shanghai–Kunming Expressway and the other illustrating the severe impacts caused by Super Typhoon Rammasun. The training adopted a centralized learning-and-discussion approach to reinforce drivers’ and management personnel’s awareness of safety precautions and compliance with regulations during the rainy season, thereby enhancing their ability to drive safely in inclement weather.

Through training, a strong sense of safety, responsibility, and vigilance has been instilled across the board, and control over the company’s liquefied petroleum gas and potable water transport vehicles has been tightened, laying a solid foundation for ensuring safe operations and transportation.
