Recently, the New Energy Development Department of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group conducted a safety training session and fire emergency response drill, themed “Enhancing Safety Awareness and Mastering Firefighting Knowledge.”

As a key department for safety production prevention within the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, the New Energy Development Department has developed a new type of energy—alcohol-based fuel—that boasts low market prices, high combustion heat, environmental friendliness, cleanliness, and hygiene, giving it exceptionally broad market prospects. At the same time, this energy source is highly flammable, explosive, and volatile. During the drill, Chen Rui, a senior safety management professional from the Group, was invited to deliver a briefing to employees on fundamental fire safety knowledge, including how to conduct daily fire prevention, how to report a fire, how to extinguish an initial fire, how to use common firefighting equipment, and how to evacuate safely from a fire scene. Under his guidance, a hands-on fire-extinguishing exercise was then conducted.

Through safety training and fire-extinguishing drills, the company assessed the effectiveness of its existing fire-fighting facilities and equipment, as well as employees’ emergency fire-extinguishing skills, thereby enhancing its capacity for self-protection and self-rescue. At the same time, by conducting realistic fire-extinguishing exercises, the company strengthened the overall collaborative capabilities of its staff, laying a solid foundation for eliminating safety hazards.
