On August 12, a donation ceremony was held in the second-floor conference room of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. to mark Mr. Liu Tianwei, Chairman of the company,’s charitable contribution to support impoverished college students. Mr. Liu personally donated RMB 95,000 to assist 19 underprivileged students in completing their university studies.

The head of the Xishuangbanna Prefecture Office for Caring for and Protecting Minors and staff from the Student Financial Aid Management Center attended the ceremony.

At the scholarship donation ceremony, Mr. Liu Tianwei encouraged the recipient college students to face life with resilience and courage, to study diligently, and to strive for academic excellence. He also pledged to continue providing financial support to help them complete their studies.

Since the founding of the company, Chairman Liu Tianwei has consistently regarded fulfilling social responsibility as both a core mission for corporate development and a vital means of giving back to society. In January 2010, he pledged a donation of RMB 5 million to the Jinghong Municipal Government for the construction of educational infrastructure; in Menghai County, he funded the establishment of “Tianwei Primary School”; and in November 2009, he donated RMB 350,000 to build the “Tianwei Staircase Teaching Building” at the Tongguan Primary School in Mojiang Hani Autonomous County. Over the years, the company has also provided financial assistance to more than 60 underprivileged college students, enabling them to complete their studies. Since its inception 21 years ago, under the leadership of Chairman Liu Tianwei, the company’s employees have collectively donated over RMB 21 million to various social welfare initiatives, continuously demonstrating the positive impact of corporate commitment to social responsibility.
