On May 21, 2015, the Yunnan Provincial Food and Drug Administration, accompanied by relevant personnel from the Xishuangbanna Prefecture Food and Drug Administration, conducted an inspection and guidance visit to the Guanping Water Plant of Xishuangbanna Wild Elephant Spring Drinking Water Co., Ltd., with the focus on assessing whether the certified enterprise’s quality management systems meet the required standards.

 

 

 

 

A delegation from the Yunnan Provincial Administration for Food and Drug Administration conducted an on-site inspection at the Wild Elephant Spring Water Plant, examining the water storage reservoir, the potable water production line, the fully automated bottle-washing and filling line, and the quality-control laboratory. The delegation gained a detailed understanding of the company’s water source, quality-testing procedures, and production processes, reviewed original documentation and record-keeping related to the safe production and quality control of drinking water, and listened to briefings provided by the relevant responsible officials.

 

After on-site inspection and review of the briefing, the inspection team concluded that Xishuangbanna Wild Elephant Spring Drinking Water Co., Ltd., as the largest drinking water producer in Xishuangbanna Prefecture in terms of both investment and production scale, places great emphasis on workplace safety and product quality. The company maintains standardized and well-organized production processes, implements end-to-end monitoring, and has robust management systems and comprehensive record-keeping, thereby ensuring that consumers can drink safe and reliable water. The team also urged the company to not only adhere to standardized production practices but also to develop a distinctive Xishuangbanna brand and expand its market reach.

 

 

The Yunnan Provincial Administration for Food and Drug Administration has selected 20 well-known enterprises across the province to undergo quality management system compliance certification, and Wild Elephant Spring Drinking Water has successfully passed the assessment.
