On June 1, the students of Tianwei Primary School in Menghai Town, Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, received a special holiday gift. Mr. Liu Tianwei, a National Model Worker, a member of the Standing Committee of the Xishuangbanna Prefecture CPPCC, and Chairman of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, brought the children electronic whiteboards, audio equipment, and teaching instruments and apparatus worth more than RMB 160,000. He also personally presented them with holiday gifts totaling over RMB 5,000, expressing his hope that they would enjoy a healthy, civilized, and joyful Children’s Day. 
On Children’s Day, students at Tianwei Primary School in Menghai Town, Menghai County, put on a carefully choreographed variety of cultural performances, including a campus singing contest and a festive fair, to celebrate the “June 1” Children’s Day. They also presented Chairman Liu Tianwei, a philanthropist, with bright red scarves as a token of their gratitude. In turn, Chairman Liu extended his warm holiday greetings to the children, encouraging them to cultivate lofty aspirations from an early age, work hard to lay a solid foundation for their future development, acquire a wealth of knowledge, and develop a love for learning and reading.
Menghai Zhen Tianwei Primary School is located within the Menghai Industrial Park in Manwei Village, Menghai Town, Menghai County. The school was jointly funded and built by the Menghai County Government and Mr. Liu Tianwei and Ms. Zhang Yanhong, chairpersons of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group. The campus covers an area of 26 mu and comprises 10 classes spanning grades 1 through 6, as well as two preschool classes, with a total enrollment of 550 students and 25 teachers. The student body is primarily drawn from 22 nearby village groups, with the majority belonging to the Dai, Hani, and Lahu ethnic groups.
Meanwhile, Chairman Liu Tianwei also made a donation of 140 charity schoolbags, valued at RMB 14,000, to the Xishuangbanna Prefecture Red Cross Society, thereby helping 140 underprivileged students in the prefecture fulfill their “June 1” wishes, enabling them to realize their dreams, and allowing these children to feel the care and warmth of society. This initiative aims to cultivate in them a sense of gratitude, resilience, and determination, so that they may grow up healthy and well-rounded.
