To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and to further enhance the political awareness and overall competence of the Group’s workforce in the new era, Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group held the opening ceremony for the “2018 Saturday Employee Lecture Series” on March 3.

Leaders of the Group Company attended the opening ceremony, which was also attended by more than 60 participants, including mid-level managers of the Group Company, lecturers for the Employee Lecture Series, Party members, and representatives of frontline employees. The ceremony was chaired by Zhang Guihong, Deputy Director of the Group Company Office.

The opening ceremony consisted of two agenda items. First, representatives from various departments, branches, and subsidiaries of the Group Company—each serving as a lecturer for the “Saturday Employee Lecture Series”—took to the stage to share their lecture topics and key content. The lectures covered a wide range of subjects in diverse formats, spanning 19 themes including political theory, work safety management, administrative office operations, financial expertise, marketing and promotion, environmental protection, traditional culture, and ideological and moral education.

Liu Tianwei, Chairman of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, delivered the opening address, using his own legendary entrepreneurial journey as a case study to analyze and share insights with employees. He encouraged everyone to embody the “nailing-down” spirit, align their learning and implementation with the realities of the company’s development, firmly uphold the “Four Confidences,” and actively foster a positive corporate culture in which “everyone aspires to excel, everyone strives to excel, everyone has the potential to excel, and everyone is able to fully realize their talents.” Chairman Liu’s remarks were both profound and easy to understand, highly instructive, targeted, and practical, enabling employees to grasp, in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, the importance of building and coordinating public relations as well as the value of innovation.

Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group has launched the “Saturday Employee Lecture Series,” primarily led by mid-level managers, with select frontline employee representatives also participating as speakers. The initiative aims to cultivate a high-caliber workforce that is politically savvy, business-savvy, and adept at management, thereby establishing a solid talent foundation for the group’s long-term development and effectively implementing and putting into practice the corporate development philosophy of “building a learning organization and striving to become learning-oriented employees.”
