On November 5, a field construction worker at the warehouse of the New Energy Development Department of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. exhibited mild methanol poisoning. Upon receiving the alert, department staff promptly activated the emergency response plan for sudden accidents. Safety protection personnel immediately assisted the intoxicated worker to a safe area and, in coordination with medical personnel, initiated immediate first aid. They also promptly dialed the emergency medical services number as required. Meanwhile, members of the evacuation team, following the instructions of the emergency response team leader, proceeded to the designated assembly point to establish perimeter security and carry out personnel evacuation, ensuring unobstructed access for emergency vehicles and medical staff. Ten minutes later, the intoxicated worker, accompanied by first-aid personnel, was escorted from the scene. The emergency response team leader then reported the situation to the group’s superior authorities, and the emergency drill concluded smoothly in accordance with the pre-established plan.

 

This emergency response drill also covered the handling of sudden fires during on-site construction. During the drill, members of each team followed the prescribed emergency procedures meticulously, clearly defined their respective responsibilities, coordinated closely with one another, and maintained composure throughout. Following the exercise, a thorough debriefing was conducted to identify shortcomings and areas for improvement, thereby providing valuable lessons for future safety and emergency response efforts.

 

Since its establishment, the New Energy Development Department has rigorously adhered to the Group company’s regulations on on-site construction safety protection and emergency response. It has long upheld the guiding principle of “start with ourselves—safety is everyone’s responsibility,” while conducting a variety of drills to strengthen employees’ safety awareness, enhance their emergency response capabilities, and ensure proficient operation of safety protection equipment.
