On June 7, the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group organized its employees to watch the film “Jiao Yulu,” revisiting the exemplary deeds of Jiao Yulu, studying and carrying forward his spirit, using the achievements of our predecessors as a mirror to learn from the advanced, identify shortcomings, strengthen Party character, cultivate a people-centered outlook, promote fine work styles, and earnestly advance the in-depth implementation of the Party’s mass-line education and practice campaign.

The film “Jiao Yulu” vividly portrays the moving deeds of Comrade Jiao Yulu, former Party Secretary of Lankao County in Henan Province. It recounts his experience in 1962, when he was transferred to Lankao County to serve as its Party Secretary. Upon taking office, Jiao Yulu braved snowstorms and darkness to lead cadres from the Lankao County Party Committee and County Government on an on-site inspection at the railway station, where they assessed the plight of the disaster-stricken masses. During his tenure as Party Secretary of Lankao County, Jiao Yulu rallied the county’s cadres and people to fight against nature and transform the harsh environment, tenaciously combating the “three scourges” and striving to eradicate poverty in Lankao. His actions exemplify his unwavering commitment to serving the people wholeheartedly and dedicating his life to the revolutionary cause. Devoting every ounce of his energy and spirit to the cause of the Party and the people, he forged a shining image of closeness to the masses, love for the people, hard work, scientific rigor, courage in the face of adversity, and selfless dedication—establishing an enduring monument in the hearts of the people that will never fade.
