Recently, Liu Tianwei, Chairman of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd., together with his wife, Zhang Yanhong, returned to their hometown—Tongguan Town in Mojiang County—to donate RMB 90,000 to the town’s elderly care home, supporting the construction of a new drinking-water project and improving water-supply conditions. Subsequently, they visited the Mojiang County Central Elderly Care Home to extend their greetings and condolences to all residents, donating an additional RMB 50,000 to help upgrade the facility’s cultural and recreational amenities, enriching the seniors’ leisure activities. On the spot, they also distributed more than RMB 20,000 in Spring Festival condolence payments to all residents of the home.

According to reports, Liu Tianwei, Chairman of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd., is a native of Tongguan Town in Mojiang County. In 1979, he ventured alone to Xishuangbanna in search of opportunity and, in 1993, successfully founded Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. Upon learning that the local elderly care home was poorly equipped and that many lonely, destitute seniors were struggling to make ends meet, he readily returned to his hometown to donate funds aimed at improving their living conditions.
