“I am deeply grateful for the leadership’s care and assistance, which have helped resolve many practical difficulties for both my family and me,” said Liao Shouhong, an employee who is currently ill, visibly moved. Liao Shouhong was once a staff member of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group; he joined the company in 1999 and, throughout his career, consistently performed his duties with dedication and diligence, earning the title of “Outstanding Employee” on multiple occasions. In 2010, due to a reassignment, he took up the position of cashier at the Weihong Gas Station of Yuntou Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Co., Ltd. Last year, because of persistent physical discomfort, he underwent examinations at the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, where he was diagnosed with “low-grade differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the nasopharynx” (stage II). To date, his medical expenses have already exceeded RMB 100,000. The exorbitant cost of treatment has cast a heavy shadow over his family. Upon learning of his situation, the leadership of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group launched a “Charity Donation Campaign” within the company. Employees responded enthusiastically, extending a helping hand and offering concrete support to their former colleague as he struggles to overcome this difficult time. In just a short period, more than RMB 38,000 was raised through donations. Building on their initial contribution of RMB 20,000, Chairman Liu Tianwei and his wife, Zhang Yanhong, have now donated another RMB 20,000.

     In the hospital ward, Chairman Liu Tianwei personally presented a donation to Liao Shouhong and informed her that he had already arranged for consultations with relevant specialists to finalize a treatment plan. He encouraged her to maintain a positive attitude, adhere to her treatment regimen, and strive for a speedy recovery.

     In addition, on May 1, Chairman Liu Tianwei visited the People’s Hospital of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture to extend his care and condolences to Dai artist Yan Jian. Yan Jian is a performer of Dai song and dance with the Xishuangbanna Prefecture Song and Dance Troupe. While crafting a horn-shaped hulusi during work, he accidentally injured his left eye. In this time of crisis, Chairman Liu Tianwei promptly offered assistance and encouraged him to regain his confidence and overcome the difficult situation.
