On August 2, the “2018 Yunnan Province Top 100 Private Enterprises Release Conference,” hosted by the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, was held in Kunming, unveiling the “2018 Yunnan Province Top 100 Private Enterprises” and the “2018 Yunnan Province…” The “Top 20 Private Manufacturing Enterprises” and the “Top 20 Private Service Enterprises in Yunnan Province for 2018” lists were subsequently announced.

The launch conference was held at the Haigeng Convention Center in Kunming, Yunnan Province. Yu Dingcheng, Vice Chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Liu Tianwei, Chairman of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, attended the conference and received the medal.

According to reports, in 2018 the entry threshold for the Top 100 non-public enterprises in our province was RMB 745 million, an increase of RMB 224 million over the 2017 threshold, representing a growth rate of 43%—far outpacing the province’s overall private-sector economic growth rate of 10.3%. For the Top 20 manufacturing firms, the entry threshold was RMB 1.89 billion, up RMB 700 million from the previous year. The combined revenue of the Top 100 enterprises totaled RMB 274.2 billion, the highest level in six years, an increase of RMB 64.7 billion over the previous year, or a growth rate of 30.8%.

According to reports, this year marks the sixth time the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce has publicly released the Top 100 Private Enterprises in Yunnan, as well as the Top 20 Private Manufacturing and Service Enterprises. The annual release of the Top 100 list has boosted the enthusiasm of Yunnan’s private sector to grow stronger and larger; the ranking faithfully documents and bears witness to the remarkable development journey of Yunnan’s major private enterprises, and has come to symbolize the province’s industrial restructuring, corporate transformation and upgrading, and leapfrog development.
