The special campaign to combat organized crime and local gang violence is a major decision and deployment made by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core. It is an important means of fully implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, continuously enhancing the people’s sense of gain, happiness, and security, and safeguarding social harmony and stability. It also serves as a powerful driving force for building a law-based and safe transportation system. All enterprises in the industry must further enhance their ideological awareness, refine their work measures, and resolutely carry out the special campaign to combat organized crime and local gang violence.
In order to thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements for the special campaign against organized crime and local gang violence, effectively strengthen road traffic safety at enterprises, and curtail road traffic accidents, Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group convened a symposium on traffic safety production, as well as on publicity and mobilization for the “anti-organized crime and anti-gang” campaign and the identification and reporting of relevant leads, on March 16. The meeting was chaired by Shi Mingfeng, Captain of the Order Management Squadron of the Jinghong City Traffic Police Brigade, and was attended by heads and employee representatives from the Group’s General Administration Office, Safety, Storage and Transportation Department, Finance Department, and all branch companies and subsidiaries.
The meeting pointed out that, since the launch of the special campaign to combat organized crime and local gangland activities, continuous progress has been made through measures such as strengthening organizational leadership, conducting extensive and in-depth mobilization, intensifying publicity and guidance, enhancing the identification and investigation of leads, and carrying out targeted remediation efforts. This has been taken to a deeper level and has already yielded significant results. However, organized crime and evil forces have not yet been eradicated, and the special campaign to combat them will continue. The meeting conducted an in-depth study of the thirteen key areas of focus for this campaign, as well as the methods for filing reports, The scope and eligibility criteria for rewards were also specified, and the “Investigation Form for Clues Related to Organized Crime and Evil Forces” was completed accordingly. Furthermore, all attendees were encouraged to serve not only as recipients and promoters of information on the special campaign against organized crime and evil forces, but also as active participants in this campaign. All participants should join forces to contribute their part to ensuring the people live and work in peace and contentment, maintaining social safety and order, and securing long-term stability and prosperity for the nation.
