Practical, effective and practical

On the afternoon of May 4, Xishuangbanna Prefecture commemorated the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement. The conference was solemnly convened, One hundred outstanding young people from all sectors across the state were commended as “Outstanding Youth of the New Era Who Strive for Excellence and Goodness.”

To centrally showcase the achievements of the “Strive to Be Outstanding, Virtuous Young People in the New Era” campaign, fully highlight the vigorous and upward-looking spirit of young people in Xishuangbanna Prefecture, and effectively leverage the exemplary and leading role of “Outstanding, Virtuous Young People” in fostering socialist core values, the Xishuangbanna Prefectural Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Xishuangbanna Youth Federation took the significant milestones of the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement and the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League as opportunities to organize a selection and recognition event for 100 individuals who embody the spirit of “Striving to Be Outstanding, Virtuous Young People in the New Era.”

Lu Jianlin, Secretary of the Communist Youth League Branch of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, was awarded the title of “Outstanding Young Person for Dedication and Professionalism” in the selection and recognition campaign.

The new era bestows new missions, and new goals usher in a new journey. The finest way for the broad ranks of young people to commemorate the May Fourth Movement is to, under the leadership of the Party, courageously step forward as pioneers, trailblazers, and dedicated contributors who lead the times; to join with all ethnic groups across the country in shouldering the historic responsibility; to strive to develop into well-rounded socialist builders and successors in moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic dimensions; and to ensure that the spirit of May Fourth shines ever more brilliantly in the light of our times!
