As we bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new, the Mengla Branch has navigated 2014 smoothly and now stands at the threshold of a fresh start in 2015. The celebratory firecrackers resound throughout the city, and the clock has already struck midnight on January 1, 2015; yet all employees of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group’s Mengla Branch remain firmly committed to the guiding principle: “Understand safety, know how to ensure safety, prioritize safety, and work together in a coordinated, comprehensive effort to safeguard safety.” Following Branch Manager Piao Hua’s reading of the “2015 Safety Production Responsibility Agreement” and the individual position-specific safety responsibility agreements, the only expression on everyone’s faces was one of unwavering resolve. Adhering to the principle that “those in charge are responsible,” the Branch Manager proceeded to sign safety responsibility agreements with each employee for their respective roles, steadily advancing from a foundation of understanding and competence in safety to a collective commitment by every single person to make safety a top priority.
