On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd., on November 6, Chairman Liu Tianwei and his delegation visited Menghai Tianwei Primary School to present donations for educational assistance. Upon their arrival at Tianwei Primary School, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Li Honggen, Deputy County Magistrate of Menghai County; Wang Zineng, Director of the Education Bureau; Zhong Hua, Principal of the Central Primary School; and the entire faculty and student body of Tianwei Primary School.

 

At the donation ceremony, Mr. Liu Tianwei, Chairman of the company, delivered an enthusiastic speech, encouraging the students to study science and culture diligently, strive to acquire solid skills, grow and develop at an early stage, realize their dreams, and in turn, repay the motherland, society, and their hometown. Li Honggen, Deputy County Magistrate of Menghai County, highly commended and praised Mr. Liu Tianwei’s generous act of donating to education, and expressed earnest expectations for how Tianwei Primary School would make effective and dynamic use of the donation. Subsequently, on behalf of the company, Mr. Liu Tianwei presented a donation of RMB 220,000 to Menghai Tianwei Primary School and accepted the red scarf presented by student representatives.

 

Menghai Tianwei Primary School is located within the Menghai Industrial Park in Manwei Village, Menghai Town, Menghai County. The school offers grades 1 through 6, with a total of 10 classes, as well as two preschool classes. It was jointly funded and built by the Menghai County Government and Mr. Liu Tianwei, Chairman of the company, as a Hope Primary School. The campus covers an area of 26 mu and currently has 520 students and 23 teachers. The student body primarily comes from 22 nearby village groups, with the majority belonging to the Dai, Hani, and Lahu ethnic groups. (Text and photos by Zhang Guihong)
