As the entire nation is intensively studying and implementing the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and commemorating the 20th anniversary of the company’s founding, Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. held a mobilization conference on December 2 to launch the “Three-Pronged Initiative” for ideological development, organizational development, and work-style improvement. Liu Tianwei, Chairman of the Group; Zhang Yanhong, Vice Chairwoman, Party Branch Secretary, and Deputy General Manager; and Lin Gang, Deputy General Manager, attended the meeting. Heads of the Group’s various departments and offices, all branch companies, storage and distribution stations, and the Ye Xiang Quan Drinking Water Company also took part. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Zhixue from the Group Office, who provided a comprehensive plan and deployment for the implementation of the initiative.

At the mobilization conference for the campaign, Liu Tianwei, Chairman of the Company, delivered an important address, emphasizing the following points: First, all cadres and employees of the Company should take studying, implementing, and carrying out the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee as their guiding principle; seize the opportunity presented by the 20th anniversary of the Company’s founding; and, in accordance with the Company’s unified arrangements and deployment, earnestly organize and implement the action plan for the “Three Major Initiatives.” During the course of the campaign, the system of designated leading officials assigned to provide targeted assistance to employees in difficulty must be strictly enforced. Leading officials are required to take the lead in conducting in-depth field investigations at the homes of employees facing hardship, listening carefully to their concerns, and providing practical assistance in resolving their problems. Second, each department should, based on the Group’s implementation plan for the campaign and in light of its own specific work realities, formulate a detailed implementation plan for its own activities. Departments are urged to vigorously carry out study and discussion activities, to think creatively and liberate their minds, to unite as one in pursuing work and entrepreneurship, and to effectively enhance the overall cohesion of their teams. Throughout the campaign, the powerful ideological tool of criticism and self-criticism must be put to effective use; a collection of high-quality study materials and resources should be compiled and organized, and these materials must be studied thoroughly and comprehensively.

Third, during the implementation of these activities, ideological development and cultural enrichment must be seamlessly integrated. The company’s website should be fully leveraged to promptly publicize and report on best practices, exemplary cases, outstanding individuals, and noteworthy events arising throughout the course of the initiatives. Emphasis should be placed on applying what is learned to real-world work, so that the activities effectively enhance the writing skills of all cadres and employees. It is required that heads of all departments and branch offices submit at least one paper annually, which will serve as a basis for year-end performance evaluations. Through these activities, we aim to elevate employees’ overall competence and sense of ownership, ensure that they engage in dignified and respectful work, and encourage them to be attentive and mindful participants in life.

Fourth, in the present era of having fully built a moderately prosperous society, we must innovate our approach to serving our broad customer base by anticipating their needs, addressing their urgent concerns, and sincerely forging strong emotional bonds with them, thereby cultivating a workforce that is both emotionally engaged and passionately committed.

Finally, Liu Tianwei, Chairman of the Company, pointed out that as 2013 draws to a close, all employees and cadres of the company should take the successful organization of the company’s 20th-anniversary celebration as an opportunity to make a full-scale push toward achieving all production and business targets for the year. It is imperative to firmly uphold the principle of “safety first” in production and operations management. At present, all ongoing tasks must be completed according to the established timelines; invitations and commemorative gifts must be distributed in full by the 15th of this month, with strict accountability to be imposed on those concerned in case of any delays.
