In accordance with the spirit of the document issued by the CPC Xishuangbanna Tourism and Resort Zone Committee, “Notice on Thoroughly Studying and Implementing the Important Speech Delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the Meeting Concluding the First Phase and Deploying the Second Phase of the Party’s Mass Line Education and Practice Campaign,” on February 8, 2014, the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group convened a meeting to convey, study, and discuss General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at that meeting, with the aim of fully grasping its essential spirit. The meeting was chaired by Wang Jinzheng, Chairman of the Group’s Trade Union and Director of the Office, and was attended by the Group’s leadership as well as the principal heads of all departments, offices, and branch companies.

The meeting conveyed and studied General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the conference on summarizing the first phase and making arrangements for the second phase of the Party’s mass-line education and practice campaign, and conducted discussions in light of the actual work of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group. All participants unanimously agreed that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech is both visionary and far-sighted; from the perspective of the development of the Party and the country, it profoundly summarizes the significant achievements and valuable experiences gained in the first phase of the education and practice campaign, outlines the measures for the second phase, effectively links the summary with the deployment, and sets forth clear requirements for strengthening organizational leadership. The speech is marked by profound thought, a plain and unadorned style, concise and to-the-point language, and incisive argumentation, making it an important document that provides guidance for the education and practice campaign and for strengthening Party building.

The meeting pointed out that launching the Party’s mass-line education and practice campaign is a major strategic deployment by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as General Secretary for implementing the spirit of the 18th National Party Congress. It fully demonstrates the Party Central Committee’s commitment to upholding the mass line and the mass viewpoint, its adherence to the principle of exercising strict self-governance over the Party, its determination to maintain the Party’s advanced nature and purity, and its resolve and confidence in serving the people with pragmatism and integrity.
