In accordance with the spirit of the “Implementation Plan of the CPC Xishuangbanna Tourism and Resort Zone Committee on Carrying Out the Party’s Mass Line Education and Practice Campaign” (Document No. 7 of the CPC Xishuangbanna Tourism and Resort Zone Committee, 2014) and the spirit of the meeting of the CPC Xishuangbanna Tourism and Resort Zone Committee held on February 18, Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group Co., Ltd. convened a conference for Party members and cadres on the Party’s Mass Line Education and Practice Campaign on the afternoon of February 28. The meeting was aimed at thoroughly implementing the spirit of the work conferences on the Party’s Mass Line Education and Practice Campaign held by the Central Committee, the Provincial Party Committee, the Prefectural Party Committee, and the Party Committee of the Resort Zone Management Committee, and at mobilizing and making arrangements for the in-depth implementation of this campaign. The meeting was presided over by Wang Jinzheng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Chairman of the Trade Union of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, while Comrade Zhang Yanhong, Secretary of the Party Branch and Deputy General Manager, delivered an important speech. Comrade Zhang Yanhong emphasized that, in carrying out this education and practice campaign, first, we must resolutely guard against formalism and mere perfunctory compliance; we must deeply grasp the three key stages—“studying and educating, soliciting opinions,” “identifying problems and conducting criticism,” and “making rectifications and establishing systems”—ensuring that mandated actions are carried out faithfully and that self-selected initiatives are distinctive, closely aligned with the actual production and business operations of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, so as to prevent the campaign from becoming superficial. Second, we must consistently adhere to the overarching requirement of “looking in the mirror, straightening our attire, taking a cleansing bath, and curing our ailments”—aligning ourselves with the Party Constitution and Party discipline, with historical classics, with advanced role models, and confronting our own shortcomings head-on—so as to truly identify problems, face them squarely, study them thoroughly, and resolve them effectively, thereby ensuring that the campaign does not become empty or hollow. Third, we must center the entire campaign around the theme of the mass line, firmly establish a people-oriented mindset, delve deeply into methods of working with the masses, comprehensively enhance our capacity to engage with the public, and ensure that the campaign does not stray from its core focus. We must be unyielding in exposing shortcomings and addressing pain points; when identifying problems and conducting criticism, we should reduce the sweetness and vulgarity and increase the spiciness, striving for red faces, perspiration, and detoxification, so as to prevent the campaign from becoming overly protective or self-serving. Through this campaign, we will endeavor to ensure that every cadre becomes the kind of good cadre called for by General Secretary Xi Jinping—someone who is firm in conviction, dedicated to serving the people, diligent and pragmatic in governance, courageous in taking responsibility, and honest and clean.

The meeting discussed how to effectively carry out the Party’s mass-line education and practice campaign within the company and thoroughly solicited the views and suggestions of all attendees.
