On June 10, 2015, the award ceremony for the inaugural Dai Script Calligraphy Competition of Xishuangbanna Prefecture was held at the Xishuangbanna Press.

 

  The inaugural Dai Script Calligraphy Competition is hosted by the Publicity Department of the Xishuangbanna Prefectural Party Committee and the Xishuangbanna Daily, with co-organizers including the Xishuangbanna Prefectural Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau and Wild Elephant Spring Drinking Water Co., Ltd., an affiliate of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group. Wild Elephant Spring is providing full sponsorship in the amount of RMB 100,000. The event aims to further promote, inherit, and protect Dai culture.

 

Liu Tianwei, a National Model Worker and Chairman of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, attended the award ceremony and was interviewed by Xishuangbanna Television. Chairman Liu stated that the beautiful region of Xishuangbanna has nurtured its multi-ethnic people, who, through their wisdom and hard work, have built this vibrant land and fostered a rich and distinctive ethnic culture.
