On January 12, the Eleventh Mutual Inspection Group of the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions’ “Ankang Cup” Competition conducted an inspection of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group to assess the implementation of “Ankang Cup” initiatives.

 

 

 

 

The inspection team listened to a briefing at the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group and then conducted an on-site inspection of the liquefied petroleum gas storage and distribution station to assess the implementation of the competition activities.

Since the launch of the “Ankang Cup” competition, Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group has placed great emphasis on the initiative under the leadership of its senior management, rigorously ensuring the effective implementation of all related tasks. The Group established a leading task force and formulated a comprehensive activity plan; in light of actual operational needs, it organized a wide range of engaging competitive activities, thereby fostering a robust safety culture. Furthermore, the Group has strengthened safety education and training for all employees, continuously enhancing their overall safety competence; strictly enforced the daily safety production reporting system, the safety inspection system, and the regular safety meeting system; leveraged the roles of the trade union and employee supervisors to increase investment in safety and environmental protection, thus safeguarding employees’ health; reinforced the management of hazardous chemicals and special equipment to prevent major accidents; conscientiously carried out the certification and training of personnel responsible for hazardous chemical safety management and those engaged in special operations, as well as related safety education and examination procedures; and intensified safety monitoring of key hazard sources. These measures have effectively elevated the Company’s technical and managerial standards in safety, while also enhancing employees’ safety knowledge and awareness of personal protective measures.

According to available information, the purpose of launching the “Ankang Cup” competition is as follows: to thoroughly publicize and implement relevant laws and regulations, including the Labor Law, the Trade Union Law, the Work Safety Law, and the Law on Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases, thereby enhancing employees’ awareness of occupational safety and health under the rule of law; to widely carry out safety culture activities centered on the “Ten One” initiative; and to conduct diverse training and educational programs on occupational safety and health knowledge, helping employees improve their competence in this area.

 

In recent years, Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group has consistently adhered to the principle of “safety first, prevention-oriented, and comprehensive management,” actively organizing and conducting the “Ankang Cup” competition. In the 2016 “Ankang Cup” knowledge contest organized by the Jinghong City Federation of Trade Unions, the Group was honored with the title of “Outstanding Organizer of the Ankang Cup Knowledge Contest” awarded by the city federation. Taking this inspection as an opportunity, Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group will further build on its achievements, draw lessons from its experience, and make all-out efforts to achieve new successes and reach a new level in the “Ankang Cup” labor competition.
