Tianwei Charity Foundation Conducts Visitation Activities for the Double Ninth Festival
“Love on the Double Ninth Festival, Sharing Warmth in the Golden Years”—in order to carry forward and uphold the fine traditional values of the Chinese nation—respecting, honoring, and caring for the elderly—the morning of October 25, on the eve of the Double Ninth Festival, saw Liu Tianwei and Zhang Yanhong, model workers at the national level, chairman of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, and chairpersons of the Xishuangbanna Tianwei Charity Foundation, pay visits to and extend heartfelt condolences to retired senior cadres of Xishuangbanna Prefecture, national and provincial model workers, as well as experts and scholars who receive allowances from the State Council and the provincial government. On this occasion, they brought with them the care of the Tianwei Charity Foundation and warm holiday greetings.
Accompanied by staff from the Retired Cadres Bureau of Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Mr. Liu Tianwei and Ms. Zhang Yanhong visited each household to offer their heartfelt condolences and care. At every home they visited, Chairman Liu Tianwei engaged in warm, friendly conversation, inquiring about the residents’ daily lives and health with genuine concern, thereby bringing the Foundation’s warmth directly to their hearts and ensuring they could enjoy a joyful and peaceful holiday.
The Tianwei Charity Foundation has launched activities to honor and care for the elderly, thereby demonstrating the company’s profound compassion while fostering a strong societal ethos of respecting, cherishing, and assisting seniors—both locally and on a broader scale—and carrying forward, Promote China China’s fine traditional culture has set a positive example.
Liu Tianwei stated that these retired cadres and distinguished experts and scholars all made significant contributions to the nation and society in their respective fields around the time of the founding of the People’s Republic. Our happy lives today would be impossible without their hard work and dedication. Now that they are advanced in age, they rightly deserve greater care and concern. Showing such care for them is in line with the foundation’s mission, upholds the foundation’s spirit of respecting, honoring, and loving the elderly, and helps to spread positive energy throughout society.
The Xishuangbanna Tianwei Charity Foundation was voluntarily established with a donation of RMB 2 million from Liu Tianwei and Zhang Yanhong, the chairman and wife of the Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group, making it the first non-public fundraising charitable organization in Xishuangbanna Prefecture. “Compassion and responsibility go hand in hand; corporate development and philanthropy advance together” was the original vision behind the establishment of the foundation by Liu Tianwei and Zhang Yanhong. Since its inception, the foundation has launched a series of initiatives in areas such as poverty alleviation, educational assistance, and caring support for vulnerable groups, thereby earnestly fulfilling the social responsibilities that entrepreneurs are expected to shoulder.
