During the ceremony, Comrade Zhang Yanhong, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Group Company, read out the Board of Directors’ decision on the appointment of comrades Li Zhongwei, He Guotong, and others. On behalf of the Group Company, Chairman Liu Tianwei signed the 2021 “Safety Production Responsibility Agreements,” “Fire Safety Responsibility Agreements,” and “Production and Operation Target Responsibility Agreements” with the heads of all departments and divisions as well as the heads of all branches and subsidiaries. These agreements set the overarching framework for management across all departments and branches/subsidiaries of Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group in 2021, clearly defining the safety management responsibilities and objectives for each unit, strengthening awareness of self-discipline and autonomous safety management, enhancing the company’s overall safety management level, and establishing clear operational targets.

Following the signing ceremony, Chairman Liu Tianwei delivered an important address. He stated that, owing to the impact of the 2020 pandemic, the achievements of all branches and subsidiaries have been hard-earned, and that this year we must forge ahead with renewed vigor and continue to strive for excellence. This year marks the inaugural year of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the beginning of a new journey toward national strength. Against the backdrop of the new era, all middle-level managers must enhance their capabilities by “knowing how to learn, understanding how to learn, and loving to learn,” and, in particular, learn to make flexible use of fragmented time for continuous self-improvement. He emphasized four key points: first, middle-level managers must innovate, cultivate fresh ideas, and carry out their work in a well-planned and determined manner, putting real effort into every task; second, they must excel in training frontline employees, taking the lead in learning themselves and ensuring that company policies and guiding principles are communicated accurately and effectively; third, as a service-oriented enterprise, Xishuangbanna Petrochemical Group must be adept at identifying and systematically summarizing problems so as to optimize processes, continuously improve service quality, highlight its unique strengths and competitive advantages, and thereby enhance customer satisfaction and experience; and fourth, emphasis must be placed on improving efficiency—by assessing the current situation of each branch and subsidiary, reducing costs, boosting profitability, and driving high-quality development of the group.
